                           supports Queen Alia Competition

                                for Social Responsibility

Under the patronage of her Royal Highness Princess Basma Bint Talal, gig | Arab Orient Insurance supported the
Queen Alia Competition for Social Responsibility through distributing prizes to winners. This came in line with the
company's true belief that this support will raise awareness, culture and education within the entire community.
The competition is one of the tools of The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) which aims
at driving sustainable development forward through social awareness outreach programs that encourage positive
partnership between different institutions of the society.
gig | Arab Orient Insurance never ceased to support this competition that motivates social responsibility activities
that serve the local society and mean to uphold safety, they also contribute to the funding of education and rehabilita-
tion programs for disabled students in "Al Raja' School" for special education for children with special hearing needs
and Mutah Center for special education.

                                                                                supports a workshop for "Basar" Center

                                                                                        for Local Community Studies

gig │Arab Orient Insurance participated in the workshop upon an invitation by "Basar" Center for Local Community
Studies. The workshop which was organized for networking among the private sector and civil society organizations
was held on Wednesday 25 February 2015.

The workshop comprised of a presentation of the most important results of the study made on the social responsibil-
ity of companies in Jordan. The discussion highlighted the link between the private sector and civil society organiza-
tions through presenting existing and future projects, and the needs of each of them.

The workshop also included some positive suggestions that would serve the less privileged areas; such as establish-
ing a medical clinic for women, as well as launching a reading initiative in Ba'oun village to encourage reading, through
the construction of a small park which contains a library as well as games. The list of suggestions included the comple-
tion of a school for the rehabilitation of disabled that will help them integrate more in the labor market each within
their abilities, and distributing ear headphones to those in need. Besides, they proposed distributing clothes to the
poor families and establishing an electronic traffic school, kindergarten, sewing center, and other humanitarian
initiatives.

The support granted by gig│ rab rient nsurance was reflected in the society through pro ects that would help
citi ens live a better life, and through different types of support such granting money, logistics help and any other
type of support.
