The Company, under the name “Arab Orient Insurance Company”, set a solid position in
the marketplace fairly quickly with 29 employees at the time. Focusing on the
development within the insurance sector, the Company prides itself on being Jordan’s
first company in terms of premiums.

gig - Jordan is one of Gulf Insurance Group (gig) companies along with other 10 insurance
companies in 9 different Arab countries, which gives more support, strength and stability
to all the Group’s members. Committed to the company’s growth and development
strategy, gig - Jordan strives to positively contribute to individuals’ wellbeing and to the
industry’s progress.

Today, with over 19 years of history, gig - Jordan contributes significantly to the growth of
the insurance industry in Jordan. It provides different insurance programs that include
Medical, Motor, General, Travel, Property, Aviation, Marine and Energy Insurances, while
its 8 branches are scattered in Jabal Amman (Head Office), Sweifieh (Deir Ghbar), The
Boulevard, Mecca Street, Marka, Al-Abdali, 8th Circle, Irbid and Aqaba.

By experiencing strong and consistent growth coupled with excellent reinsurance
security, gig - Jordan is proud to enjoy the status of being (accredited insurer). The
company has proven capabilities by becoming the first to be rated B+ (Very Good) with
stable outlook from the global credit rating (A.M. Best) in 2006.

Furthermore, gig - Jordan received numerous awards which acted as true testaments for
its outstanding performance; the Silver Award for The Best Website for banking and
insurance sectors for two consecutive years, Best Contractor and providers from Greater
Amman Municipality, Euro Money Magazine Award for the Best Insurance Company in
Jordan for the year 2009, the Best Insurance Company in Jordan from ‘Global Banking and
Finance Review’ in 2011, in addition to a number of other significant recognitions.
