gig | Arab Orient Insurance supports the Breastfeeding Conference
gig | Arab Orient Insurance lists maternal and child health as one of its major interests and supporting them
is of a high priority on its agenda. The company hence sponsored Jordan’s First International Breastfeeding
Conference held by The Organization for the Support of Breastfeeding at Le Royal Amman Hotel during the
period between the 6th and 8th of October, under the patronage of Dr. Zaid Kilani.
The conference was attended by a number of doctors, nurses, nutritionists, health experts, students, teachers
and midwives. Several topics related to breastfeeding were discussed during the conference; they highlighted
the importance of breastfeeding to both mother and baby. Furthermore, the conference shed light on some
issues related to working mothers in Jordan and the challenges they face.
Mr. Mustafa Melhem - CEO attended the conference along with Mr. Yazan Khasawneh - Senior Director, and a
number of the company’s employees.
