gig - Jordan participates in “Instructions for Corporate Governance”
workshop
gig - Jordan has participated in a workshop titled “Instructions for Corporate Governance listed for the year 2017
and its applications for the insurance companies” held by Jordan Insurance Federation on Thursday 2017/8/17.
More than 70 participants representing 23 insurance companies attended the workshop.
The workshop was also attended by Mr. Yazan Khasawneh; Senior Director, Reem Abu Oqab, Senior Human
Resources Manager, Hanan Abu Sha’aban; Corporate Risk Management Officer, Mr. Adnan Abu Al-Haija, Deputy
Director / Risk Management Department at gig - Jordan. Mr. Abu Al-Haija was one of the key speakers of this
workshop. He highlighted the role of the new governance instructions in improving the performance of the
Board Committees.
The workshop was held over one day with three working sessions of duration of four hours each; and it aimed
at introducing the instructions of corporate governance for the year 2017 issued by The Jordan Securities
Commission.
At the end of the workshop, Mr. Abu Al-Haija led an open discussion session with the three participants and
answered all attendees’ questions.
