gig - Jordan sponsors the Sixth International Insurance Conference –
Aqaba 2017
gig - Jordan is proud to announce that it will be one of the Main Sponsors of The Sixth International Insurance
Conference – Aqaba 2017 which was held during the period 17-15 May 2017 at InterContinental Aqaba Hotel.
The event was organized by Jordan Insurance Federation and the General Arab Insurance Federation, and was
attended by a number of local, regional and international experts in the insurance industry.
The conference witnessed significant participation of leaders and executives working in insurance and
reinsurance companies, as well as employees in different public and private economic institutions. The
conference discussed different topics, such as; Marine and Transport Insurance, as well as the latest in the
Political Violence Insurance, e-Risks and Enterprise Risk Management. Hence, the conference exemplified a
platform where all ideas and opinions about the industry were exchanged.
The conference was attended by Mr. Yazan Khasawneh / Senior Director, Tariq Ammari / CTO, Khalid Ghanem
/ Deputy director, Adnan Abu Al-Hayja’ / deputy Director, Karam Awamleh / Assistant Manager, Simon Al-Shami
/ Deputy Manager, Tariq Abu Fares / Senior Officer and Mahmoud Muharram / Officer.
Mr. Adnan Abu Al-Hayja’, Deputy Director, Risk Management Department, took the lead of the fourth session
named “Corporate Risk Management” with the participation of Mr. Vasilis Katsipis, General Manager of A.M. Best
for MENA.
gig - Jordan Insurance has hosted the attendees for a dinner on the 3rd day of the conference, inaugurated by Mr.
Tariq Ammari - chief technical officer with a welcoming speech. Moreover, the Company was honored for being
one of the most important sponsors for this conference and for greatly contributing to its success.
